Long-distance buses and ferries connect Davao to other Mindanao destinations. For island transfers, regular ferries and fast crafts run from Sasa and Sta. Ana to Samal Island, typically taking 10–30 minutes depending on terminal and service.
Getting around Davao City
Central areas are reasonably walkable, especially around parks and malls, but the city is spread out. Public jeepneys and buses serve many routes; taxis and Grab are widely available. Tricycles cover short neighborhood trips. Renting a car or arranging tours is useful for early hikes, Mount Apo access or visiting dispersed nature sites and nearby beaches.
A two-day itinerary
