Getting around Kunming
Central Kunming is fairly walkable, especially around Green Lake and Nanping. The city has an expanding metro network, comprehensive bus routes, taxis and bike-share schemes. For nearby scenic sites and the Stone Forest, renting a car or booking a tour is convenient; taxis and ride-hailing work well for short hops in the city.
